Loople is a Knowledge-Gated Puzzle/Action/Adventure game created by a single person in less than 4 days for the GMTK 2025 Game Jam.
Inspired by games such as Tunic, Outer Wilds, Antichamber, Animal Well, Rain World and Chroma Zero, deep knowledge-gated puzzles permeate the world under the guise of a cutesy action-platformer. You take control of a small cat warrior, stuck in a world where a haunting "Iteration" number keeps ticking up, with the initial goal of reaching the end of the 10th stage of an iteration. As you loop through a procedurally generated world in search of answers, you may realize that more is going on under the surface.

Like in Tunic and the other games that inspired it, Loople features creative hidden mechanics and puzzles that you always could have solved, if only you had the knowledge to do so.seeks to provide them with small and large epiphanies.

How to play: Download and extract the Loople.rar archive. Open the windows folder and launch Loopool.exe.

Basic controls:

WASD: Movement

Spacebar: Jump

Left mouse button (Hold): Throw

Escape: Menu

Advanced controls:

While not necessary, it is recommended to have a notepad or a piece of paper and pencil handy in order to take a few notes while playing. Everything is available in game to solve the puzzles, but noting some clues may help out.

This game features automatic saving of progress. You may quit the game and continue from where you left off later. You may reset your progress  through the main menu in order to restart the game.

Spoiler-ish information:

This game features a good and bad ending. The bad ending is marked as "Game Over" and offers players to attempt a new "Iteration" with a re-generated world to search for missing key items while keeping the key items that they have acquired already. By using knowledge inferred from all the key items, players can find a secret method of achieving the "True Ending". Once you see the credits, you have truly beaten the game.
